2016 Fender Stratocaster '65 AVRI

  • Here we have a new 1965 American Vintage Reissue Stratocaster in Olympic White.

1965 was the first production year fender introduced the 5-way switch, allowing players to use the “2” and “4” position to allow combinations of the neck and middle pickup as well as the middle and bridge pickup.

1965 was also the first year Fender introduced Pearl Dots into the mix, something never done before on previous production models.

The neck on this guitar is fatter than early 60’s necks, but thinner than early 50’s strats--a comfortable thick C shape. The pickups are rather hot, but sound defined and clear.
