1989 Fender Jazz Bass 1962 Reissue MIJ

  • This is a really nice example of a late 80's MIJ '62 reissue jazz bass. Made in the Fugi-Gen factory which was known for it's quality and made fine instruments. These are fairly rare and getting harder to find.

This bass is black with rosewood fretboard and pepperoni tortoise shell guard. The bass has a beautiful flaming on the neck. The back of the neck has some flaws. A small lacquer chip behind the third fret and some worming from the 5th to 9th frets. These flaws were there when we purchased the instrument and do not affect playability. Very minor buckle rash behind neck plate.

The bass is fully setup with DR pure blues nickel strings which compliment the bass very well. Bass is fully set up, frets polished and fretboard oiled recently. Frets are in good shape with no dents. Truss rod works well as well as all electronics. Neck is straight.

Comes with molded hard shell fender case. Covers included.
